At ONYX Fitness, the safety and wellbeing of our members, visitors, contractors and staff is our priority. We are committed to maintaining a safe, secure and compliant training environment during both staffed and unmanned operating hours.

Our facility operates under comprehensive health and safety procedures designed to minimise risk and respond effectively to emergencies.

ONYX Fitness maintains the following safety controls throughout the facility:

• 24-hour monitored CCTV coverage
• Clearly marked fire escape routes
• Fire extinguishers and emergency lighting
• First aid provision
• Controlled member access systems
• Routine equipment inspections and maintenance
• Accident and incident reporting procedures
• Regular health and safety reviews
• Cleaning and housekeeping schedules

In the event of an accident, injury, fire, or medical emergency, members should:

1. Stop activity immediately
2. Contact emergency services by calling 999 where necessary
3. Follow all emergency evacuation procedures
4. Use the nearest fire exit if evacuation is required
5. Report all incidents to management as soon as possible

Emergency contact information and safety signage are displayed throughout the facility.

All gym equipment is subject to routine inspections and maintenance checks. Any defective or damaged equipment is put out of use or removed from use if possible immediately until repaired or replaced.

Members are expected to:

• Use equipment responsibly and clean after use
• Follow displayed safety guidance
• Report faults or hazards immediately
• Train within their own physical capabilities

All accidents, injuries, incidents and near misses are recorded and reviewed by management. CCTV footage may be retained where required for safety investigations, insurance purposes or legal compliance.

ONYX Fitness operates in accordance with applicable UK health and safety legislation, including:

• Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
• Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
• Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
• RIDDOR Reporting Regulations

The business regularly reviews its policies, procedures and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and member safety.

While ONYX Fitness takes all reasonable steps to provide a safe training environment, members also have a responsibility to:

• Train safely and responsibly
• Follow gym rules and safety instructions
• Respect other gym users
• Report hazards, incidents or concerns immediately
• Seek medical advice before training where appropriate

Failure to follow gym rules or health and safety guidance may result in suspension or termination of membership access.

For the safety and security of members and staff, CCTV operates throughout the premises 24 hours a day. Footage may be used for safety monitoring, incident investigation, crime prevention, insurance purposes and legal compliance.
